The Ministry of Gender and Child Development on the Copperbelt has partnered with Habitat for Humanity to build a house for a 10-year-old girl of Ndola’s Kaloko Township at a cost of K38,000.
The minor, who gave birth to a baby boy last month, was impregnated by an unknown man.
Habitat for Humanity national director Joseph Munsanje said on Thursday that his organisation will support the family by building them a two bedroom house for both the 10-year-old girl and her child.
“The family will have access to water and sanitation and a ventilated pit latrine,’’ Mr Munsanje said.
