A 21-year old sales woman of Choma has pleaded not guilty to breaking into a house and stealing a photo album and over K6,000 cash.
This is in a matter in which Grace Kandela of Show Grounds township is charged with housebreaking and theft, contrary to the laws of Zambia.
Facts before the court are that on November 24, this year, in Choma, Kandela jointly and while acting with other persons unknown, with intent to commit a felony, allegedly broke into Kenneth Mwamba’s house and stole a photo album and K6,862 cash.
The matter, which came up on Monday before Choma magistrate Mbololwa Mukela, was adjourned to January 5, next year, for commencement of trial.
Kandela is on police bond.
In the same court, a 30-year-old businessman of Choma pleaded guilty to selling digital video discs and compact discs without a hologram, a security feature.
This is in a matter in which Robert Muchimba of Overspill township is charged with selling cinematographic works without a hologram, contrary to the laws of Zambia.
Facts before the court are that on November 26, this year, in Choma, Muchimba allegedly sold audio and cinematographic works without a hologram affixed to them.
“The 56 CD’s that I was selling did not have a hologram,” Muchimba told the court.
The case was adjourned to December 9, this year, for written facts
