Former President Rupiah Banda says PF candidate Edgar Lungu’s chances of winning next week’s presidential election are good.
Mr. Banda says from the places he has been Mr. Lungu stands a good chance of winning Tuesday’s election.
He was speaking to journalists at the Kenneth Kaunda International Airport shortly after he arrived from Solwezi.
Mr. Banda says he is happy with the candidate he is supporting.
He also says it is wrong for Southern Province Minister Daniel Munkombwe to encourage tribal politics in the country.
Mr. Banda says Zambia can not go forward if citizens are tribal.
The former President said logically it does not make sense to say that the presidency should rotate.
He questioned the essence of holding elections if people think the presidency should rotate.
