KABWE residents have voted for their preferred Presidential candidate to drive the nation forward following the death of President Michael Sata on October 28, 2014 in a London Hospital. The ruling PF candidate has recorded better results than his closest UPND rival in the district in the results received so far. Chindwin A polling station saw PF’s Edgar Lungu get 112 votes, UPND’s Hakainde Hichilema 46, Nevers Mumba of the MMD 02, FDD’s Edith Nawakwi 01, while the rest polled no votes. Kabwe Trust School recorded 43 for UPND, PF 93, MMD 1, FDD 1, Katondo School PF had 117 UPND 30, Heritage Party and MMD shared a vote each and at Changa Changa UPND scored 62, PF 148, Heritage Party 01, MMD 02, FDD 02 with the rest scoring zero. Kohima had 03 for NAREP, 194 for UPND, 162 for PF, Heritage Party and FDD had 02, MMD 01, Mpima saw UPND score 151, PF 64, MMD and FDD 01 each. Jesmine School saw NAREP get a vote, UPND 110, PF 200, Heritage Party and MMD 03 each and FDD 07 and Nutuseko had UPND get 41 votes, PF 149, MMD and FDD 01 each with the rest getting zero. Neem tree had NAREP, UNIP, and MMD get one vote each with UPND getting 211, PF 237, Heritage Party 02, and Njani Tarvern had PF get 114, UPND 29, NAREP and CDP got one each with their counterparts from UNIP and FDD getting 02 votes each. The results are as announced by the Kabwe Central returning officer Rabecca Chirwa Banda. The result pattern is similar to that in Bwacha Constituency whose collation Center is at Hindu Hall.
