THIEVES on Sunday broke into Comesa market in Livingstone and stole alcoholic beverages worth K500 and an undisclosed amount of coins from a gambling machine.
Livingstone officer commanding Timothy Kashinakazhi said the theft happened over the weekend in the night, adding that the thieves broke into one bar inside Livingstone’s Comesa market and stole the alcoholic beverages and coins.
Speaking in an interview on Tuesday, Mr Kashinakazhi said a pick was discovered inside the makeshift store which was used to break the shop and the Bonanza gambling machine to extract the coins.
Mr Kashinakazhi said a manhunt has been launched to “ensure that the culprit are bought to book because we want to reduce the crime rate in the tourist capital to zero.”.
