The office of Vice President under Disaster Management and Mitigation Unit (DMMU) has completed the distribution of two thousand five hundred and forty five (2, 545) 50kg bags of relief maize to hunger stricken areas in Isoka District in Muchinga Province.
Isoka District Commissioner Major Joe Siwila has confirmed the development to QFM News in a telephone interview.
Major Siwila says government has been sending relief maize to the community in Luangwa since December last year after their maize was swept away by heavy floods.
