Two pupils of Nkobo School in Ithezi Tezhi District have died in a road accident.
The accident happened when the Toyota Hilux they were in failed to ascend a road and rolled back killing the girl and boy while leaving other pupils with injuries.
Eight pupils are currently admitted to Itezhi Tezhi District Hospital.
Ministry of Education Spokesperson Hillary Chipango confirmed this in a statement released to ZNBC news in Lusaka.
Mr. Chipango said the pupils were on their way to the school from Inter Zonal Sports tournament when the road accident happened.
And in Kasama, one person has died while another is admitted to Kasama General Hospital after the vehicle they were in, plunged into the Lukupa River in Kasama.
Northern Province Deputy Police Commissioner Alfred Nawa has confirmed the accident which happened around 02hrs on Tuesday.
Mr. Nawa explained that the accident happened when the driver of a Tata truck, which was coming from Kasama To Mporokoso lost control and plunged into Lukupa River.
He explained that the driver died on the spot while a passenger was rescued by some community members.
