Who doesn’t know that KK is the lover of life? Now after his 90th birthday everyone is talking about him and the time has now given birth to the truth about him. A man from a society condemned to a very low life span, has celebrated his 90th birthday with his face up and actively, a challenge to some of us youths. Am just 30 and yet I feel like am 70 years old, I feel am ready to die since am living in the society where someone has alarmed my life span to be 40 to 50 years and the deaths of my age mates and younger fellow citizens makes me believe and accept the human statistics but here is a man who is challenging us Zambian youths. A Zambian icon and lover of life, 90 and yet is active like a 30 year old man.
Memories are still fresh when we saw our father running to the stage to give unwritten speech at the funeral of the late Mandela, in South Africa. The whole world watched him and journalist asked; (what is the spirit behind KK) A female journalist from Angola said, ‘‘I thought KK is already dead’’… His life, is a testimony to every Zambian youth, our icon, still at 90 he wants to fight for his life and live a little longer, this we see it when he goes for sports, he wears like any young fun of chipopolo.
The secrete of KK, we all know it, its love of life given by God through our parents. My fellow youths, life span in Zambian is not given by a man but by God, hence, we can live longer than the statistical expectation. Therefore, let’s say yes to our lives because we love ourselves. Let me end my article to turn my provocative tittle into a question to ba tata KK, what are the other secretes to your long life span?
