POLICE in Solwezi have arrested a 26-year-old woman of Zambia compound for stabbing her husband to death after a marital dispute.
The incident happened yesterday around 17: 30 hours.
North Western Province police commissioner Eugene Sibote identified the woman as Idah Mwanapoba.
Sibote said it was alleged that Mwanapoba stabbed her husband, Kelvin Milanda, 37, to death after a quarrel.
“The deceased, Milanda, was stabbed on the left side of the chest with an unknown sharp instrument, leaving him with a deep cut. He was rushed to Solwezi General Hospital where he died upon arrival,” Sibote said
He said the body of the deceased was in Solwezi General Hospital mortuary awaiting post-mortem while Mwanapoba had been charged with murder and was in police custody.
Sibote said Mwanapoba would appear in court soon.
