Ndola Police Looking For A Woman Who Stabbed Girl’s Private Parts

A Three year-old girl of Mine Masala township in Ndola is nursing serious wounds allegedly inflicted by a female neighbour who inserted a hot knife in her genitals.
Police are now looking for the woman, who has been identified as Bana Dennis, of house number 2264, Mine Masala. She is on the run.
Copperbelt Province commissioner of police Joyce Kasosa said in Ndola yesterday that the girl was burnt on Wednesday at about 09:00 hours in Mine Masala township.
Ms Kasosa said the victim’s grandmother reported the case to police.
“It has not been established why this woman used a hot knife to inflict wounds on this child,” Ms Kasosa said.
She said the suspect is alleged to have forced a hot knife in between the victim’s legs causing the injuries.
Ms Kasosa said the victim was rushed to Arthur Davison Children’s Hospital where she is undergoing treatment.
She said the suspect, when apprehended, is likely to be charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
And a 20-year-old married woman of Mpulungu in Northern Province has been murdered allegedly by a man whose advances for an extra-marital affair she turned down.
Northern Province police commissioner Charity Katanga said the incident happened on Wednesday about 23:00 hours while the woman’s husband was watching the World Cup semi-final clash between Argentina and the Netherlands in the neighbourhood.
Ms Katanga said a knife was used to kill the woman, identified as Monica Chifunda.
She said the suspect sneaked into Ms Chifunda’s bedroom while she was asleep and stabbed her to death.
“He stabbed her in the chest and stomach,” she said.
The suspect was upset after the deceased allegedly refused to start a love affair with him.
She said the suspect was severely beaten by a mob after the killing.
“After [allegedly] murdering her, he decided to hide in the nearby bush but a mob managed to find him and he was beaten,” Ms Katanga said.
