Proflight_Zambia's_aircraft_on_the_tarmac_in_Lilongwe_after_its_inaugural_flight_in_June._-_CopyLUSAKA, ZAMBIA – Proflight Zambia passengers can fly from Lusaka to Lilongwe for just K500 plus taxes with the airline’s new Fly500 special fare.

The Fly500 deal – a spin-off from the popular Fly5 supergroup of brand ambassadors – sees the airline announce an ultra-low fare of K500 plus taxes one-way, or K1,000 plus taxes return, on a selected route for a limited period.

The first destination is the airline’s new international route to the Malawi capital of Lilongwe, with tickets costing less than the fuel to get there by car.

“Proflight Zambia is on a mission to make air travel more affordable,” said Proflight Director of Government and Industry Affairs Capt. Philip Lemba. “This amazing Fly500 deal to Lilongwe is just the start!”

The special can be booked online, with a travel agent or though one of Proflight’s sales offices by using the promotional code ‘Fly500’.  For a return booking the promotional code ‘Fly1000’ can be used and this will give a return fare Lusaka- Lilongwe- Lusaka of K1,000 per person, excluding taxes.

This Lilongwe special is valid for bookings and travel before August 15.

Fly500 specials will be introduced to other destinations on a periodic basis.

Other specials still available include the popular Early Bird special of K250 one-way between Lusaka and Ndola or Lusaka and Livingstone if booked more than 14 days before on the airline’s 105-seat Boeing 737 flights.

There is also a Getaway special of K1,200 return on between Lusaka and Mfuwe if booked within 21 days of travel, and the Citizen Special of K400 per person one-way Lusaka/ Solwezi, Lusaka/ Mfuwe or Lusaka/ Livingstone. All special fares exclude NACL taxes.

Proflight Zambia’s Fly5 supergroup is a star-studded alliance of artists: JK, Slap Dee, Pompi, and Cactus Agony, together with model Petita Mwanza.

The collaboration with Fly-5 is the latest move in Proflight Zambia’s strategy to raise the stakes in nation’s aviation sector. It follows the introduction in May of a 105-seat Boeing 737-200 aircraft that almost doubled its capacity, and the launch in June of the carrier’s first scheduled international service, from Lusaka to Lilongwe.

The airline celebrates 22 years of operation this year, and has grown from operating a single aircraft to a fleet of nine serving nine domestic destinations and one international route. It prides itself in providing a safe, reliable, efficient and friendly service and is determined to continue its strategy of steady expansion.
