I’m Feeling Much Better And Am Ready For Work -Lungu

President Lungu yesterday returned from South Africa where he had gone for treatment and declared his readiness to work.
“I am feeling much better and am ready for work,” President Lungu said upon arrival at Kenneth Kaunda International Airport.
Mr Lungu denied assertions that he will be flown to Pakistan or India for specialist treatment and thanked Zambians for the prayers.
The President urged Zambians to pray for each other in times of illness.
“You don’t have to wish others evil, like they are wishing me,” Mr Lungu said.
President Lungu, who was accompanied by his wife Esther, special assistant for press and public relations Amos Chanda, some family members and senior government officials, touched down at 15:00 hours aboard the presidential jet.
He was received Ngosa Simbyakula, who acted as President, Minister of Agriculture Given Lubinda, Patriotic Front secretary-general Davis Chama, Secretary to Cabinet Roland Msiska and other senior party and government officials.
Hundreds of PF cadres also turned up to receive the President.
President Lungu left for South Africa last Tuesday for specialist treatment after being diagnosed with achalasia, a condition that is characterised by narrowing of the food pipe.
He underwent a successful medical procedure on Saturday and doctors declared him fit to carry out his duties as President.
