AN EXOTIC-TEASE dancer who missed a court session before being issued with a warrant of arrest said she absconded while attending a relative’s funeral.

Shantd Chirimuta, who resides in Dzivaresekwa, told H-Metro yesterday that she was attending her uncle’s funeral in Marondera and was not aware that she had to report to the court for failing to attend trial.

“I was attending a funeral and I think I will approach the court to advise them,” she said.

The dancer is facing charges of violating the provisions of the Censorship and Entertainment Act after she reportedly had sex with a patron on stage.

She, however, said she has since abandoned dancing saying she might repeat it again.

“I have abandoned dancing I am afraid that I will repeat it again while I have another case in court I drink beer so zvinozondikurira while on stage.

“So the best thing is to stay away from the stage,” she said.

Magistrate Shelly Zvenyika who is presiding over the case last Friday issued a warrant of arrest for the self-confessed sex addict after he absconded.

Allegations are that on December 13 2014 at Red 32 in Southerton, Shantel, who is a member of the Chocolate Barbies  dance group, invited a male patron on stage while performing an exotic-tease.

She then undressed him, put on a condom on his already erect manhood and became intimate with him.

The impending arrest of Zambia’s Director of Prosecution (DPP) has taken a new twist.

In order to enforce a warrant of arrest issued by a Lusaka Magistrate Court, Police visited and surrounded Mutembo Nchito’s home who remains unavailable and has gone into hiding.

Once arrested, Mutembo Nchito is expected to be availed before the magistrate court where he could apply for bail or discontinue the matter in his capacity as DPP.

It is yet to be seen how this developing matter will end as the DPP is said to be planning to avail himself to the Police on Thursday but while in court enter a Nolle Prosequi ( a discontinuation of the court process) claiming that only his office is allowed or constitutionally mandated to prosecute any criminal matter in the courts of law.

The DPP might also cite constitutional security of tenure and protection he enjoys under the law.

Lawyers for Newton Nguni who is the complainant and has since laid 11 charges are expected to argue that the DPP (Nchito) has allegedly committed criminal offences and he is not above the law and should instead recuse himself, declare interest and allow the due process of the law to take effect.

1. What Happened-
The High Court Order obtained in the Lusaka High Court quashing the warrant of arrest on grounds of jurisdiction of the Magistrate Court was presented to the Magistrate who issued the warrant of arrest. The lawyers for the complainant as well as accused appeared and argued before the Magistrate. The Magistrate after considering the arguments recused ruled as follows:

a) That he cannot recognised the High Court Order because the said Order is in a civil action which cannot override public interest proceedings. This is the current law. No civil matter can stop criminal proceedings.

b) He recused himself from the case on grounds that the accused has sued the magistrate personally in the High Court for the said quashing Order.

c) He ruled that since he does not recognise the Order the accused person must remain in custody until the matter is re-allocated to another magistrate.

2. He Escaped?
Immediately after the ruling the brother and lawyer Nchima Nchito came with the vehicle and he entered the vehicle and sped away to the surprise of the police who were to lead him to the holding custody cell. He has run away from the police custody. The police tried a chaser but could not find him. Right now his whereabouts are unknown.

A 17-year-old boy has undergone the world’s first p*nis reduction surgery. The American teen requested the surgery after his penis grew too large, restricting his ability to have s3x or play competitive sports.

The boy’s surgeons were shocked when he came to them complaining that his p*nis was too big. When flaccid, it measured almost seven inches in length and had a circumference of 10 inches – around the size of a grapefruit.

Surgeons described it as being shaped like an American football.

The surgeon who treated the teenager, Rafael Carrion, a urologist at the University of South Florida, told MailOnline: ‘There comes a time in every urologist’s career that a patient makes a request so rare and impossible to comprehend that all training breaks down and leaves the physician speechless. Incredible!

Abz Pulls Out Of The Grand Coalition For A People Driven Constitution

PRESS STATEMENT
FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 13, 2015.
SUBJECT: ABZ PULLS OUT OF THE GRAND COALITION FOR A PEOPLE DRIVEN CONSTITUTION
We regret to inform our members and the general public that ABZ shall no longer be part of the Grand Coalition that has been pushing for a people driven constitution.
Our decision has been necessitated by a conspiracy by some members of the Grand Coalition to expel our leader Fr. Frank Bwalya from the Coalition for supporting His Excellency Edgar Chagwa Lungu as presidential candidate for the Patriotic Front (PF) in the January 20, 2015 presidential election.
On Thursday 12th February 2015 (yesterday) during a meeting for the Grand Coalition held at Protea Hotel at Arcades in Lusaka to which Fr Bwalya was invited some members of the Grand Coalition tried to embarrass our leader by demanding for his ejection from the meeting on grounds that he was close to President Edgar Lungu and therefore was not welcome in the Grand Coalition. This prompted a number of members of the Grand Coalition to defend our leader for his democratic choice to support Mr. Lungu and the PF. These members wondered why Fr Bwalya was singled out when there were other political parties who are members of the Grand Coalition that supported Mr. Lungu and campaigned for him.
In responding to the clearly undemocratic and unconstitutional attempt to eject him from the meeting Fr. Bwalya made it clear that he had done nothing to undermine the work of the Grand Coalition in demanding for a people driven constitution. He drew the attention of the members to the press statement that was issued when ABZ decided to endorse the candidature of Mr. Lungu long before PF adopted him as presidential candidate.  He said the statement was very clear about the need for the PF to deliver a people driven constitution as promised. Fr. Bwalya also said in the radio programmes he did as part of campaigning for the PF presidential candidate he always talked about the need for PF to deliver a people driven constitution. He took great exception to the conspiracy by some members of the Grand Coalition to violate or threaten his freedoms of expression and association and walked out of the meeting. Since the decision to support Mr. Lungu was made by our National Executive Team which is the decision making body in between Party Conventions, those of us who accompanied President Frank Bwalya walked out with him.
As a party we are very disappointed at the attempt by some members of the Grand Coalition to malign and embarrass our Party President for implementing a decision of our party to support Mr. Lungu. We believe that the Grand Coalition should promote tenets of democracy and constitutionalism. Therefore, it should not allow anybody to use its platform to advance an agenda contrary to the same values that the Grand Coalition wants to see in a good and people driven constitution.
Finally, we want to make it clear that our party will continue to constructively engage the PF government on the need for a good people driven constitution and that we shall continue our relationship with President Lungu and his government for the common good. We believe that Mr Lungu has done very well so far in introducing politics of development in Zambia as opposed to politics of hate, antagonism and tribalism.
As such, our leader Fr. Frank Bwalya has the blessings of our party as he supports the PF administration under the able leadership of His Excellency Edgar Chagwa Lungu. We shall not allow anyone to force us to endorse their preferred candidate just because he or she signed a social contract promising to satisfy the demands of the Grand Coalition.

Cement Prices Likely To Drop

THE price of cement is likely to reduce significantly on the Copperbelt following the expansion project that Lafarge Cement Zambia has embarked on in Ndola.
The firm intends to spend €8 million on the expansion project of a finish grinding mill, which is expected to add 100,000 metric tonnes of cement production from the current 400,000 metric tonnes produced at its Ndola cement plant.
Company plant manager Friday Nyimbili said the price of the commodity which is currently selling between K65 and K85 will drastically reduce.
“Yes, with the effects of demand and supply, we are hopeful to reduce prices on the market. We know that there are other players on the market and new ones that are coming, but with increased supply, the prices will fall,” Mr Nyimbili said at an environmental consultative meeting on the expansion project at Ndola Cement plant.
Mr Nyimbili said the firm is undertaking the expansion project to keep up with the rising demand.
The project, which will be a complete portable grinding solution consisting of several functional units to be located within the plant next to the existing mill, will also be equipped with a pneumatic transport system to convey products to the existing silos at the packing plant.
He said all the dust generated will be captured using European-based advanced technology while all material transfer points will be equipped with bag filters.
On the positive impact, he said the projects includes job creation, tax payments, reduction in dust and green-house gas emissions by a more controlled filtration system and increased output of cement to the market.
Some of the negative impacts highlighted include marginal increase in noise within the plant, increased demand on service providers and potential dust emissions, mitigated by enclosed facilities.
But most residents of Itawa, Ndeke and McKenzie townships expressed concern at the dust emissions from the existing plant saying the firm should consider replacing it with modern equipment.
Ndola district commissioner Rebby Chanda also called on the company to provide more mobile ambulances to help treat the community members and ensure that benefits trickle down to consumers once the project is implemented.

Dear Readers,
My name is Jack and I live in Kitwe, I need your help. My girlfriend and I have been dating for two years now. In September last year I made her pregnant and she wanted to abort because she was scared of her father who she said would kill her. I did not want her to abort but she insisted, so I gave her money and she saw her family friend who is also a doctor.
The doctor, who is married, insisted to having sex with her before he could carry out the procedure. When she told me I told her not to go through with it, I thought she had taken heed of my advice but she went ahead and slept with the doctor, who then carried out the abortion.
She said she did it to protect our relationship. What can I do? Please help me.

Robert Mugabe Death Prophecy

Another Malawian prophet, Apostle Kenneth Eagle of the holy Tabernacle Ministries in the capital Lilongwe, has claimed that President Robert Mugabe of Zimbabwe will not escape this year alive.

The new ‘death prophecy’ comes barely two months after controversial Malawian Prophet Austin Liabunya prophesied that “Mugabe’s biological clock will not tick beyond this year” and the country will be “restored” to be in the top five of the richest countries in Africa.

Apostle Eagle has since flown into the controversy by using social networking site Facebook, to post the following prophecy;

“This is for Southern Rhodesia (referring to present day Zimbabwe). I know there are great Prophets in Zimbabwe but my spirit is crying as am writing this.”

“Why the African political hero resting without Christ. It is not far when the flag of Southern Rhodesia will be pulled down for some days. This is the fall of a great King and his kingdom. I saw the African Union (AU) flag pulled down as a symbol of honor to their beloved leader.

“Viva……Viva, These were the final words spoken by many presidents as they were entering Zimbabwe. What’s happening in Zimbabwe? That was my question and angel of the Lord said this must come to pass soon, pray that it will not happen in a festive season. Then, I saw a better nation with much of economy fruitfulness.”

Leading musician JK and gospel artistes Abel Chungu and Israel, formerly Exile, are leading nominations in the Zambian Breweries-sponsored Mosi Zambian Music Awards (ZMA) to be held on April 11 this year, with three nods each.
JK has been nominated for Best Mainstream Artiste and Best Dancehall Album and Best Mainstream Album for his Telemundo effort, while Abel is competing for Best Gospel Male Artiste as well Best Gospel Album and Best RnB Album for Love Unleashed. Israel is a finalist for Best Songwriter, Best Gospel Male Artiste and Best Gospel Album Exile to Israel.
There are also nominations for the likes of P-Jay (Best Songwriter), Mampi (Best Female Artiste), Suwilanji (Best Gospel Female Artiste) and Roberto (Best Mainstream Album).
But obviously, questions will be asked about categorisation, particularly for such categories as Best Live Album and also in the Best Dancehall category, where JK – who is definitely not a dancehall artiste nor is his album Telemundo – has been nominated.
Also, the likes of Roberto will probably feel disappointed that he is not nominated for Best RnB Album after his Amarulah did so well. The argument will be that they are popular awards.
Otherwise, some categories like Best Hip-hop, which is one of the fiercely contested for, has not been announced. The finalists will be announced on the awards night, yet voting opened on Friday.
Anyhow, other nominees are: Best Traditional Music Album comprising Malizu by Tasila Mwale and Chachacha Oyamba by Matthew Tembo; Best Live Album (Moments of Truth by Afro Red, Chachacha Oyamba by Matthew Tembo and Muli Yesu by Northmead Assemblies of God); Best Sound Engineer (Ringman, Ben Blazer and Brian Mission Press); Best Studio Sound Producer (Ben Blazer, Jerry Fingaz and Magg44); Best Lead Guitarist (David Kasochi, Jerry Fingaz and Sheba Chintu) and Best Keyboard Player (Lazaras Zulu, Mutamula Mwale and Samuel Nyambe).
Best Drummer has Charlie Chax, Eston Mwape and Smith Phiri; Best Traditional Indigenous Instrument (Rodrick Mungala, Grace Ngándu and Moses Muchindu); Best Songwriter (Israel, Mulenga Kabaso and P-Jay); Best Zed Beats Album (My Nyopola by Wills and Pupwe Chulu by Stain Da Industry); Best Gospel Album (Love Unleashed by Abel, Exile to Israel by Israel and Ulukombo Lwamweo by Suwilanji); Best Mainstream Album (Telemundo by JK, Time Bomb by T-Sean and Heart of a Lion by Chef 187) and Best Female Gospel Artiste (Stay Zimba, Rachael Nanyangwe and Suwilanji).

President Obama Labelled A Rape Suspect

sandiego15n-1-webUS President Barack Obama was labelled a rape suspect by a San Diego Fox TV affiliate after they showed his picture during a segment about a suspected rapist in KSWB-TV’s Friday evening newscast.

The station, which is also known as Fox 5 San Diego, displayed a picture of Obama speaking at a microphone on top of a caption reading ‘no charges’ for about five seconds as anchor Kathleen Bade told the audience that local District Attorney Bonnie Dumanis’ office had declined to press charges against a person of interest prosecutors had investigated in a rape case, the Raw Story blog reported.
The hour-long telecast didn’t include a retraction of the visual linking between the Commander-in-Chief and a sexual assault case involving an alleged coercive sex act between San Diego State University students.

But station officials noticed the slip-up right away, Fox 5 San Diego assignment editor Mike Wille told the Times of San Diego.
“Yeah, there was an accident when they had an over-the-shoulder” Wille said. “It wasn’t on purpose.”

He added of the decision not to run a correction, “They really don’t do that when it’s a small thing like that.”

But the screw-up by the station, which is a subsidiary of Chicago-based Tribune Broadcasting identified on the media conglomerate’s website as operating in the 28th-largest media market in the country, may provoke outrage from President Obama’s supporters as the mixup goes viral.

Liberal blog Daily Kos ran an item Sunday morning denouncing the mistake and the station’s ‘slanted’ coverage of both Obama and Hillary Clinton in previous stories, along with contact information for the local TV station.

PF Cadres Attack Soweto Female Trader

Suspected Patriotic Front cadres on Saturday brutally beat up a female Soweto trader with her children and accused them of being UPND cadres.
Speaking at the UPND secretariat, Agness Ndhlovu, who was barely audible because of the swollen face and black eye she sustained from the attack, condemned the violent conduct of the cadres at the market. Her son also sustained a cuts and various swellings on his body for trying to protect his mother from the attackers. “I have been a marketeer for 30 years and my two sons help me. One of them is actually a university student.
I arrived as usual in the morning, offloaded my tomatoes from the truck and then Bright Mumba, the Soweto PF chairman, told me to pack up and go saying he was banning me,” she explained. Ndhlovu said she asked Mumba why he was stopping her from trading and instead of responding to her query, he shouted ‘order!’ and within seconds, a group of about 12 men begun to destroy her property. Afterwards, Ndhlovu said one of the men tripped her from behind, causing her to fall in a pool of mud. She said the man punched her face and dragged her through the mud as passers-by merely watched until her sons came to her aid.
“My sons arrived and these cadres turned and now started to beat my sons with planks. My children were badly beaten and these guys picked up one of my boys and drove off with him,” she said amidst sobs. Ndhlovu said Mumba and his group took one of her sons to the police station and dressed him in a UPND T-shirt and accused him of attacking people at Soweto market.
“But the police refused to take him into custody and handed him back to these thugs and they continued to beat my son and brought him to me with a deep cut on his head,” narrated Ndhlovu.
